Classification

📋 WHY THE NEED❓

As humans we have hunger and hence we had to go out in nature to find food. In the beginning of life as humans, in order to satiate hunger and knowing our purpose, we started to explore our surroundings. We found ourselves amidst nature. Hence,  we are amongst the most curious creatures on the planet, we are in a continuous zest to explore the surrounding nature.

To understand the surroundings better we need to know (identify), understand deeply (describe) our purpose of life on Earth and our direct and indirect relationship with nature and other natural things/ beings. We started comparing, identifying and describing what we are and do we have a connection with nature?

After not fully but somewhat understanding nature we came to a conclusion that we have some similarities and differences with the other organisms in nature. Humans went out explored and came with many such similarities and still, there were differences. Similarities and differences we knew were called traits or characteristics. Where similarities were telling a tale of connection amongst every organism on earth; differences paved the way to understand the variety, diversity in the making of life.

Primitive man's lifestyle and his interaction with nature encouraged his zest for surrounding nature.

Variations being the main component of Evolution. Evolution made humans understand the reason for such a vast diversity. After describing and identifying the organisms, which were in so many numbers that we needed a way to memorize them. It occurred that many organisms were merely shared a lot of common traits and they can be arranged under the same category and make lives easier. Hence, the idea of classification paved its way.

Classification helped arrange organism with similar traits in a group and depending upon their differences we further went on creating more refined and smaller groups. Easiest example, when we visit a library we name the book, first we say which section like physics, biology, etc and then we go either alphabetical wise in that section or number wise only difference here we go characteristic wise.
